Thank you, for your support!

Hello, I'm Jim Burrows.

I am a dairy farmer in Green Oak, near Truro, Nova Scotia. I am honoured and excited to be your Liberal Candidate for Cumberland Colchester Musquodoboit Valley. After graduating from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, I began my farm in 1980. I have continued to develop the business over the past three decades, becoming a leader in our community, establishing the Environmental Farm Plans program in Nova Scotia, and, advocating environmental change in the farming community.

In addition to the farm, I have been the Chair of the Board of Directors of Scotsburn Co-operative Services Limited for eleven years.

I have taken leadership positions often during a time when there is a need for change and energy to pursue new initiatives. Always, I have been willing to champion projects that need to be done, to listen to those I represent and, to find ways to include a broad spectrum of thinking into the many opportunities we have here in our riding.

Today, my wife Leslie and I live on our family farm and have three children, all attending university.
